    IHL – ABOUT THE PROJECT

    The charity, Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles, came to us for a dynamic animated video to open their annual sports awards event.

    They wanted to show the achievements they’ve made over the past year helping schools, gyms and the local community with health and fitness in the North West, notably in the Wigan area.

    This was an interesting challenge, as it not only involved 40 or more (?) bespoke animated characters, but also playing a variety of sports! We wanted to be able to show off just how many different activities and programmes IHL do.

    The end result was a fast paced, exciting animation, packed with info – and they loved it at the event!

    ThermoFisher – Cytomore

    Thermofisher  – Cytomore Conference Video

    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    Thermofisher holds their annual conference on Flow Cytometry, with major speakers, experts and organisations from around the world attending each year to gain insights.

    They wanted to produce a short video to promote the recorded programmes after the conference, so that people who are interested could watch key highlights on their Youtube channel.

    They wanted a fast, dynamic video that really highlighted the scale and innovative nature of the event, but without relying too heavily on conference imagery. So we designed and animated with this in mind – and made a typography based video.

    Wigan Live Festival – Design

    Wigan Live Festival – Design

    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    Since 2013, we have produced the full branding design and video for Wigan Live Festival – supporting live music in the North West. We’ve designed, printed and promoted all their gig leaflets, large scale banners and posters as well designing their festival logo.

    We have also been involved with the website and marketing for the festival – with audience figures rising hugely each year – we’re highly looking forward to 2017!

    This year for the WLF online graphics and posters, we wanted to take a more fun and personal approach – due to a increasingly diverse audience. So we designed a set of bespoke icons related to the festival and to the Wigan community. we started out producing a mindmap with the organisers so that it really reflected what their values are and what they feel the festival is.

    Everlearn

    Everlearn – Design Bootcamp

    EVERLEARN – ABOUT THE TASK

    This brief was to create an illustrated design storyboard for a short online commercial for everlearn – a company who provide quality learning, but at a lower cost to traditional methods.

    The advert needed to visually convey the advantages of their educational services, without being yet another boring explainer video (the ones with coins flying everywhere..)

    So it needed to show the concept in an abstract visual way – whilst keeping clarity – we designed a character to help demonstrate this.

    We then went on to animate the video! This included rigging and all character animation.

    We recently attended School of Motion’s Design Bootcamp – to further boost our skills. It’s a intense course, not for the faint hearted!

    Diesel -Design Bootcamp

    This Summer we attended School of Motion’s Design Bootcamp – to boost our skills further. It’s a intense course, not for the faint hearted!

    We studied a range of disciplines around design and directon for motion and TV. Here’s some of our work produced from the course – based on the briefs provided.

    I love the color palette. I think it fits Diesel very well.

    DIESEL – ABOUT THE TASK

    This brief was to create an illustrated design storyboard for a commercial for Diesel. The advert is for a hypothehical dance festival in Barcelona called Deisel Dance Planet.

    It needed to highlight the 3 top acts, and include an end card with location and website.

    It was important to keep the style within the Diesel branding and voice.

    This Summer we attended School of Motion’s Design Bootcamp – to boost our skills further. It’s a intense course, not for the faint hearted!

    Beatiful moodboard, Victoria! You’ve not only found some great stuff, but also made the moodboard look like a design itself. I would really appreciate as a client!

    SPRINT – ABOUT THE TASK

    This brief was Art Direction for American mobile phone contract provider Sprint. We produced 3 moodboards each with a different theme / vibe to represent their new campaign for ‘Unlimited Data’ – with all themes being fun and modern – a key concept they wanted to convey.

    After that, We chose 1 theme to produce a Offer Page mock up, using this lifestyle imagery and graphics, along with the taglines, “Unlimited High Speed Data” and “Fastest LTE Network”

    Cross Street Arts

    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    We have worked closely with Cross Street Arts, a fantastic local studio of professional artists in Wigan, for a number of years.

    We’ve helped with their online marketing on their website and with their social media – to help increase their audience and reach for events and news. We also design posters / leaflets and graphic imagery for their major events.

    Here are a few examples of recent design work for them.

    OPEN 21016

    Cross Street Arts hold their Open Studios every December. A great opportunity to let the public have a chance to come and see the artists spaces and speak to them about their work.

    We produced this simple and elegant poster to promote this event this year.

    VS

    Cross Street Gallery teamed up with Castlefield Gallery and neostudies for their latest exhibition and initiative – New Art Spaces in Bolton.

    The brief was very simple – simply the words VS. It was for a poster to email and promote the exhibition online, and to be printed, shown around the exhbition and local venues.

    MIGRATE

    Cross Street Gallery recently held the latest A6 Dialogue exhibition in April 2016 – MIGRATE.

    They wanted a poster to email and promote online, to encourage more proposals from A6 Dialogue artists studios to participate in the exhibition. We also produced the final poster for the event. It was a great sucess!

    STUDIO LEAFLET

    This design was for a leaflet about the studio spaces and the artists, as a promotional tool for the gallery. They wanted to convery the wide range of disciplines.

    This poster was for an exhibition at their gallery, where 18 artists picked a piece of work by each other to display. We achieved a bold design, within a very tight deadline.

    Wigan Youth Zone

    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    Throughout 2013 – 2015 we have designed posters and leaflets for Wigan Youth Zone to promote their events to the youths and guests – primarily for the Art Department.

    Most recently in 2016, we have produced a new logo for the Art Department – to go with their new branding as The ART ZONE.

    It needed to incorporate the existing WYZ logo, and style – but with a key addition – which fits seamlessly with their existing branding, but at the same time stands out.

    SCHOOL LEAFLET DESIGNS

    Along with the new logo, we produced a number of leaflets to send to all the local school across to the borough, encouraging classes to take advantage of the Art Workshops on offer. They needed to be bright and appeal to young people, as well as give all the information that teachers and staff need.

    Wigan Events Guide

    Wigan Events Guide

    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    We have been running a local website, Wigan Events Guide for over 2 years. It originally started as a little hobby, out of necessity to find events..

    But it grew and grew in popularity, and now the site has become a real local resource, with many thousands of visitors each month – it has listed over 10,000 events and has well over 6000 social media followers.

    As well as running the website and the marketing – on a minimal budget, we have also created all the branding – opting for a simple clean and bold look.
