Digital Finch worked with South East London Mind again on this project to create a short healthcare animation targeted at people living with severe mental illness. The explainer video needed to encourage people living with SMI to take up a free physical health check, without being patronising or too complex.
The challenge was to get people to take action and book an appointment, and to understand why it’s important, without being alarmist.
We collaborated with a working group to create the animation; they wanted to use real characters but in Mind’s strong brand look, so we designed a new series of people of varying ages, abilities, and ethnicities to represent the wider audience. These designs are unique to the video, but still within the instantly recognisable Mind look.
