Our Recent Charity Video Productions – Studio News

Over the past year and more, we’ve been increasingly lucky to work on video productions with many impactful charities and non-profit organisations. Here are a few of our most recent animation and film work projects that we’re delighted to share with you.

Article 39

We created this short promotional explainer video for a charity supporting children’s rights in institutions in the UK, Article 39. They wanted a video to promote their Blooming Change group, which is made up of young people who have been through this. We gave them an authentic voice throughout the production process while also highlighting the damaging laws around children who are institutionalised. We created this video in a square format, which is the optimal size for high engagement on mobile viewing, social media, and the website and meetings while not creating multiple versions.

We created this video along with the young people in the group; they gave their ideas and input throughout the process, including offering their voices, and were really pleased with the outcome. One person said it was sick!

Aspire Federation

This non-profit group of SEND specialist provision schools, The Aspire Federation came to us for a promotional video to recruit more teaching staff. We interviewed various current staff members at both sites about the learning environment, promotions & progress, and CPD to create this wonderfully enthusiastic video for the federation. We also created two mini edits to share on social media in a square format, this way of creating additional edits is a really handy way to make best use of your video so that it works harder.

OnSide

We again worked with the youth zone charity OnSide to create a new video for their latest findings, titled Generation Isolation. This video highlighted the adverse effects of the cost-of-living crisis on young people around the country.

We used a hand-drawn style of animation, drawing mainly objects, to safeguard the young people and emphasise that it’s a universal problem for many. This is why we chose not to show faces, just to bring attention to the issues and not focus on individual opinions.

Association of Mental Health Providers

This is an ongoing video series that is almost wrapped up. The Association of Mental Health Providers supports other charities that provide mental health services to help them become more financially stable. They wanted a video series of case studies to show the impact of their work.

We filmed at 4 diverse sites across the country, speaking to amazing charities and organisations about their work and the support they receive. We also interviewed people who are experiencing mental health challenges to see if they feel there have been any benefits or noticed changes as an outcome. It was a privilege to speak to so many passionate people and create these long-form case study videos.
